That was my friend Ali Velshi’s take on the impact of citizen journalism on the political process, a topic that will be pretty well-represented in CauseWired. We hear from Ali as well as Ludacris, will.i.am, Obama Girl and other gliterati in Why Tuesday’s red carpet video from the Webby awards in New York, interviewed by Jacob Soboroff. Why Tuesday? is a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 2005 by my friend Bill Wachtel to “raise awareness about the broken state of America’s voting system and to find solutions to increase voter turnout and participation in elections.” They do some cool stuff with video and public question – the name, of course, comes from the open question about the traditional timing of American elections. Click for the video.
